What happens to my Solo site on November 30

Last checked: 2026-10-09

Everything on this page comes from Solo's own support site and homepage, quoted word for word. Where Solo hasn't said something, we say so.

The short answer

Solo's Shutdown FAQ says:

"All Solo websites and data will be deleted on November 30, 2026. There will be no way to recover your site, account, or data after that date." (Solo Shutdown FAQ)

The soloist.ai homepage shows a notice headed "Solo is shutting down" with the line "Please download your websites before Nov 30, 2026." It also says: "Solo will cease operations on Nov 30, 2026." (soloist.ai)

Solo doesn't give a time of day or time zone for the deletion. To be safe, finish everything before November 30, not on the day.

Why Solo is closing

The FAQ opens with: "We made the difficult decision to shut down Solo." The homepage adds: "We’ve made the difficult decision to close Solo." Neither page gives a reason.

The homepage also says: "Registrations are closed." (soloist.ai)

Key dates, in Solo's words

What gets deleted

Solo says "All Solo websites and data" will be deleted, and that "There will be no way to recover your site, account, or data after that date." That covers your site, your account and your data.

Solo doesn't say whether sites go offline before November 30, or what happens to your soloist.ai web address afterwards.

How to download your site, in Solo's words

Under "How do I download my website data?", the FAQ lists:

  1. "Log in to Solo."
  2. "Click the menu at the top right, and select Account Settings."
  3. "In the Account Settings popup, click Download Website Data."

It continues: "You'll receive a ZIP file containing an HTML export of your website and a CSV file with links to your image assets, as well as your contact form and newsletter submissions."

Your images aren't in the ZIP

This is the part people miss. Solo says:

"Image source files are not included in the ZIP. Download each image individually from the links in the CSV file before the shutdown date on November 30, 2026."

Solo tells you to do this before the shutdown date, so treat those links as temporary and save the images first. You can do it by hand, one link at a time, or let our free tool do it. Your export stays in your browser. Public images and styles are downloaded through our server. The tool also saves styles and fonts where it can, but only while Solo is still online, so run it before 11/30. It can't guarantee them.

If you pay for Solo Pro or Grow

Solo says: "If you have an active Solo Pro or Grow subscription, we will issue a prorated refund for the unused portion of your current billing period, calculated as of October 1, 2026. The refund goes back to your original payment method, and you don't need to do anything to receive it. Your subscription will not renew."

If you bought a domain through Solo

Solo's support site says the free plan "includes a free lifetime custom domain with Solo Domains" (What does Solo cost?). For the shutdown, the FAQ says: "If you purchased a domain through Solo Domains (not IONOS), you will need to migrate it to Name.com, our domain partner." The steps it lists:

  1. Create a Name.com account, or log in if you already have one.
  2. Complete your default account contacts on Name.com's Account Contacts page: Registrant, Administrative and Technical. "Name.com cannot accept the transfer until these are complete."
  3. Find your Account Code, "displayed in the top-right corner of the Name.com dashboard."
  4. Email the Account Code to support@soloist.ai. Solo says: "We will transfer your Solo Domains account to Name.com and email you when it's complete."
  5. "Add your billing information to Name.com. If you don't, Name.com will remind you as your domain renewal date approaches."

Solo doesn't say who pays future renewals for a domain that was free with Solo. It also doesn't say what IONOS domain owners should do beyond "(not IONOS)". If yours is with IONOS, log in to IONOS to check.

Where Solo suggests you go next

Solo's FAQ says: "Wix, Squarespace, and WordPress are popular website hosts. You can also consider AI website builders such as Bolt or Lovable."

We compare those and free static hosts in Solo website alternatives. To keep your current site as it is on a free host, see Move a Solo site to Netlify or Cloudflare Pages.

A short checklist before November 30

  1. Download Website Data from Account Settings.
  2. Save your images, either by hand from the CSV or with the free tool.
  3. Keep your contact form and newsletter submissions somewhere private.
  4. If you have a Solo Domains domain, start the Name.com move.
  5. Put the site live somewhere else and check it.

For questions, Solo says to contact support@soloist.ai.
